Purpose

Enrich the lives of SJC Old Boys by fostering a lifelong connection with their alma mater and fellow Old Boys, while promoting personal growth, camaraderie, and community engagement.

Strategic Objectives

Sports and Recreation

Develop and promote sports teams (e.g., cricket, badminton, soccer, basketball) for Old Boys and their families.

Organize social events and activities to foster camaraderie among members.

Youth Development

Provide scholarships, sponsorships, or mentorship programs to support current students.

Collaborate with the College to promote academic excellence and personal growth.

Alumni Engagement

Enhance communication channels (e.g., social media, newsletters) to keep Old Boys informed about OBA activities and achievements.

Encourage Old Boy involvement in OBA committees and
events.

Community Building

Organize regular events (e.g., reunions, sports tournaments, cultural activities) to reconnect Old Boys with each other and their college.

Develop mentorship programs to support current students and young Old Boys.

Fundraising and Resource Development

Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities to support OBA initiatives and College projects.

Develop strategic partnerships with businesses and organizations to benefit Old Boys and the College.

Inspired by the St. John’s College Old Boys’ enduring spirit, this Implementation Plan is our strategic roadmap to honour our roots and tangibly strengthen our bonds. It details the precise actions we’ll take to build opportunities, ensuring the next generation can thrive and lead.

Establish a Strategic Planning Committee to oversee plan implementation.

Set clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each strategic objective.

Develop an annual action plan with specific tasks, timelines, and responsible individuals.
